That is one thing I learned about voles today.  Thanks, Internet!

I mean really, mating for life after hooking up once?  Isn’t that a little…dangerous?  I think we can all agree it’s not very mature.  Although, they are pretty cute.  If you don’t find rodents creepy.

Anyhoo, the other thing I learned* is that apparently ‘vole’ is a Viking word.

Today is just like every other day…

…in that one of my primary beloved facets of the internet is how it is a haven, refuge, hide-out (‘cept public), sanctuary and BAT CAVE* for geeks and nerds.  But especially geeks.  Nerds, after all, have had libraries for pretty much ever.

I truly appreciated this examination of the question: where all the geek meat-market bars be at, yo? Do geeks even have meat market bars?  One the one hand, I can’t believe we are still using this meat market phraseology.  On the other, I love how the geekboys understand how much we female Battlestar fans love Starbuck.**

Of course, in some cases it’s cause we’re gay.  Whatevs!  Good luck, geekboys.  May the force…oh, you know the drill.
